baby recipes - yummy papaya puree (from 6 months)
Ingredients:
1 small papaya or 1 half of a medium sized papaya
Directions:
Wash and peel the papaya
Cut into two halves
Using a spoon, scoop out all the seeds
Cut papaya into pieces
Puree the papaya using your processor to a smooth texture.

and pear puree
Ingredients
1 red delicious or any red apple of your choice
1 medium ripe pear
Water for steaming
Directions:
Wash,
peel and core both the apple and the pear and slice (not too thick).
Bring water to the boil in a steamer
pot and spread the fruits on the
steamer basket starting with the apple slices first and then the pear
slices.
Reduce
heat to medium and steam for about 8-9
minutes or until both fruits are tender. Reserve the cooking
liquid.
Puree to a smooth consistency using a bit of the reserved
cooking liquid if you think its to thick for your
baby.

Apple and cinnamon puree (from 8 months)
Ingredients
1 Large Red Apple of your choice
Half a cinnamon stick
1 cup water
Directions
Wash, peel and core the red apple.
Bring 1 cup of water to the boil and add the cinnamon stick, then
reduce heat.
Add the apple slices and boil on medium heat for about 8-9 minutes or
until the apple slices are cooked and tender.
Remove cinnamon stick and puree the apple to a smooth consistency.
Kiwifruit
puree (from 8 months)
Ingredients:
2 Ripe Kiwifruits
Preparation:
Wash and peel the kiwifruits and puree them until really
smooth.
Add a bit of boiled cooled water to the puree if you think its too
thick for your little one.
Apple Puree
Use
any amount of red apples of your choice
Wash, peel and core the apples.
Slice apples and steam or boil them until tender. Reserve the
cooking liquid. Puree the cooked
apple slices to a smooth consistency adding a bit of the reserved
cooking
liquid to adjust
puree consistency.

Banana delight (from 8 months)
Ingredients:
2 Ripe Kiwis
1 Ripe Banana
Directions:
Wash and peel the fruits and puree them together until nice and smooth.
Yummy!
Mango
puree (from 6months)
Ingredients:
1 medium sized mango
Directions:
Wash and peel the Mango
Cut the flesh off the pit (or seed)
Cut
mango into smaller pieces and puree until nice and smooth. Add a little
water, juice or breast milk if you
want a lighter consistency.
Creamy
Apple yoghurt (from 6 months)
Ingredients:
2 tbs apple puree
1 tbs greek yoghurt (babies need fat for all
that energy they burn!)
Combine the apple puree with the greek yoghurt
in a bowl.
Mix well until combined.

baby recipes - Mango Banana Puree (from 6 months)
Ingredients:
1 small to medium sized ripe mango
1 banana
Preparation:
Wash and peel the mango
Cut flesh off the pit (stone)
Steam mango in your steamer pot until cooked (You dont have to steam or
cook fruit for older babies, just puree them raw).
Puree the mango until smooth
Add banana to the puree and puree a bit further to blend the banana in.

Ingredients:
1 small papaya
1/2 banana
Directions:
Wash and peel the papaya
Cut into two halves
Using a spoon, scoop out all the seeds
Puree together with the banana until smooth.
Peach
puree (from 6 months)
You
will need....
3 peaches
Directions
To
make it easy to take the thin skin off, bring some water to
the boil
in a saucepan.
Dunk the peaches into the water for about a minute or two.
Immediately put the peaches in a bowl of cold water and then peel the
skin off.
Slice them and steam until tender. Puree to a fine
consistency.

Puree
Peel
1 banana and puree to a smooth consistency or alternatively for babies
older than 8 months, just mash
the banana with the back of a fork or
chop into small pieces.
Banana
is also great combined with greek yoghurt.
