Easy, fresh and nutritious!
Organic homemade baby food - I'm sure you have heard the words organic food before, some supermarkets even have organic food sections. But what is organic food and what do people mean when they say that they are going organic or that their families are organic?
Organic food simply means food that is produced without the use of chemicals. Tomatoes, apples and other fruits that are grown with the use of pesticides and other chemicals are not organic. Cattle and poultry or other livestock that are reared with the use of hormones and other chemicals for maximum growth are not organic.
Why not? By feeding your baby organically grown food you will be saving him from all the chemical residues that are found on some fruits and vegetables. You will also be saving your baby from all the hormones and antibiotics that most livestock are usually stuffed with nowadays.
Organic homemade baby food contains more nutrients too. So not only will your baby be eating foods that taste like food tasted a long time ago, he will also be getting good quality nutritious food. Try tasting an organically grown tomato and just take in that lovely smell and the unbeatable taste!
Because organic food is expensive, knowing which foods contain high levels of pesticide residue and then replacing them with organically grown ones would be a useful tool. Buy organically grown apples instead of the conventionally grown ones.
